A bit about us
In brief, we are Christians who gather together for worship, discipleship and belonging. We connect in with the Anglican Parish of Bungendore, which is a part of the Canberra and Goulburn Diocese.
Below are the Five Marks of Mission which guide and shape our identity:
-
To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom
-
To reach, teach, baptise and nurture new disciples in Christ
-
To respond to human need by loving service
-
To transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and pursue peace and reconciliation
-
To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth.
A Parish is a collective term for the area where our churches are found. Our parish is made up of four Anglican churches residing in Bungendore, Carwoola, Hoskinstown and Captains Flat in New South Wales. The word parish has the ancient and spiritual connotation for defining the church as sojourners and families alongside their local communities. Being a parish shapes a special and intentional heart for our location.
Our Parish Prayer
Come Holy Spirit
Lead us into the future
Fill us with love for God and for one another
Inspire our hearts and vision
Be our provider and equipper
Teach us to be disciples of Jesus at home, at work and in our community
Amen.
Mosaic
Our Mosaic logo was inspired by a Good Friday service in 2015 where we gathered around a large wooden cross. The logo resembles togetherness and brokenness gathering around the cross of Easter.
